How do I re-order products on my Catalog page? (Shopify Classic Admin)
To be able to sort the products shown on the Catalog page, you will need to create a collection that uses the same handle, ie. 'all', to override (read: replace) the automatic collection Shopify created for that URL. Here are the steps you must follow:
- Go to your Collections page in your admin.

- Create a smart collection with title 'All' and the condition 'product price is greater than 0'. Save.

- On that same page - the admin page of your new collection, pick the 'Manually' option in the Reorder this collection drop-down (or choose one of the pre-existing options) , then reorder the products using the small drag and drop handles.

-
The products shown on your store front at /collections/all should reflect your changes.
-
If you do not like the title 'All' that shows up on the /collections/all page, and only after having completed the previous steps, go to your All collection admin page, click on the Edit link for it, and change the title to whatever you like better, then save.
How do I re-order products on my Catalog page? (Shopify Admin 2)

- Login to your shop admin and go to your Collections page.
-
Create a smart collection with title 'All' and the condition 'product price is greater than 0'. Save.

-
You can re-order your products one of two ways. Under the "Products" area, select an option from "Sort this collection" drop-menu. Alternatively, you can drag the products around to get them in the order you want.
- The products shown on your storefront at yourstore.myshopify.com/collections/all should reflect your changes.
After you have completed these steps, if you do not like the title 'All' that shows up on the yourstore.myshopify.com/collections/all page, go to your All collection admin page.
Click in the editable text field under "Name", and change the title to whatever you like better, then save.
